ADAM MONROE
President, Novozymes North America
Adam Monroe is President of Novozymes North America, serving at the company’s regional headquarters located in Franklinton, North Carolina. Monroe began with Novozymes in 1991.
He previously held responsibility for operations in Mexico and Brazil as well as the customer base in North and South America, and served as Director of Supply Chain Operations, Americas. He also successfully established the company’s global manufacturing supply line of enzymes for the U.S. biofuels, now a core of its business.
Monroe currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Biotechnology Industry Organization’s Industrial & Environmental Board. He also serves on the boards of North Carolina Bio, North Carolina Biofuels Center and Governor Bev Perdue’s North Carolina Business Committee for Education.
Monroe received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arkansas and is a diehard Razorback fan. He enjoys playing guitar, competing in triathlons and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
