April 14-15, 2010 -- Hyatt Century Plaza -- Los Angeles, CA

Program Tracks

All conference goers are welcome to attend any workshop or session.  Additionally, all sessions are distinct, and no workshop or breakout session is a pre-requisite to understanding the content of another.

In order to help you navigate the conference content, however, we have organized the conference workshops on April 14th and the morning breakout sessions on April 15th into suggested "tracks" based on the varying interests of our audience. These tracks are frameworks that may facilitate your thinking as you decide which sessions will be most beneficial given where your organization is on its journey toward becoming or sustaining a great workplace.

Track 1: Foundational

These sessions are most relevant for organizations in search of foundational knowledge and ideas to bring back to their companies. Related sessions lay the groundwork for understanding what it means to be a Great Place to Work®, including the models and methodology used by the Institute when selecting the Best. Attendees will learn leading-edge practices from Best Company speakers, as well as information that will help catapult your workplace initiatives to the top of the corporate agenda.

Track 2: Practice-Oriented

Whether your organization is looking to create brand new people practices, or simply is in search of inspiration for existing ones, these sessions will offer fresh ideas and practical approaches for taking your people practices to the next level. A wide variety of Best Company leaders will share their experiences in successfully designing and launching programs that foster a great workplace, and Great Place to Work® consultants will give you the tools you need to apply the learning within your own company.

Track 3: Enabling Managers

Many of our conference attendees are not only in leadership roles themselves; they also support other leaders in the organization when it comes to enabling behavior that creates and sustains a great workplace. These sessions will focus on how to promote an environment where trust-building behaviors can thrive, and also shed light on how leaders can harness their company's values and culture as they navigate business decisions.
